After the tremendous success of its commercial vehicles Ace and Ace magic, Tata Motors have launched the smaller Ace Zip and Magic Iris. Tata claims that both these vehicles have the potential have the potential to revolutionize the entry-level commercial vehicle segment and especially usurp the three-wheeler market in the rural and the semi urban areas. Tata motors are on the front foot on claiming necessary permits from state RTOs, which will allow the Tata Magic Iris to ply side by side with the current three-wheelers. Honda Brio India- Honda Brio India Launch
Honda is the largest producer of small capacity petrol engines in the world. It has dominated many a hard-fought segment in India and everyone from Bikers to Accord owners has a deep respect for the brand in India.
But just how good is the new Honda Brio? Does Brio Honda have what it takes to crack the difficult to get the grips with the low cost- high quality simultaneous equation it needs to get working first time out?

Honda Brio Exterior
What's evident as of now is that Honda has chosen to give plenty of priority to the front seats of this Honda Brio and rear seat and boot space have been compromised a bit. What’s also evident is the aggressive, tipped- forward stance of the car and Honda' very tight and modern skinning. The Large fighter aircraft like fake air intakes under the headlights give the design plenty of aggression, and the Brio has gently flared wheel arches as well. What's also good is that the low window line gives great all-round visibility from front seats.

Brio Honda Performance & Honda Brio Specifications
The 1198cc four- cylinder engine is the same brilliant motor that powers Honda Jazz in India, and the 90bhp feels very lively. It would, for this car weighs approximately 70kgs less than the larger Jazz and that means the Honda Brio India holds a significant advantage as the power to weight ratio is concerned. You still do encounter the slightly weak bottom end on occasions, but swapping gear via the light clutch and quick gearbox soon gets rid of this slight problem. The top end, however, feels zingy and effervescence and, as a result, punting Brio Honda around can be quite fun at times. The Brio’s electrically adjusted steering is very light and this is ideal for city traffic. Also slightly disappointing is the ride quality. Like many Honda’s it feels a little bumpy on poor roads. Despite the light steering, the Honda Brio also possesses good grip in corners and feel easy to control. And the brakes have good pedal action and stopping power as well. The Honda small car brio is quite good in this class and this makes the Honda a surprisingly relaxing car to drive.

Honda Brio Interior:
Brio can seat four-six footers in decent comfort and this is down to the car’s clever packaging. Honda has installed seats with thin backrests, the scooped –out glove box allows the passenger a bit more legroom and the door pads used very minimalistic as well, yielding plenty of additional space in the process. Cost cutting in however is quite evident in Brio Honda. The seats have to adjustable headrests, only a pane rear glass is used instead of a costly hatch and there is no rear defogger or wiper. Despite all of this Honda Brio Interior are well-made. The Honda Brio is an impressive city car; its 1.2 litre petrol engine delivers good performance.Brio Honda  is the Best car for city drive.

Price of Honda brio & Cost of Honda Brio
Honda brio price is expected to be around 4.5 to 5 lakhs (ex- Showroom) . Honda Brio mileage is expected to be around 16 kmpl.

Honda Brio in India
Honda Brio India launch was scheduled in August 2011, but due to earthquake in Japan the Honda brio launch in India will be around Diwali, i.e October- November 2011.

A 1985 Renault Alpine Turbo 2. These are excellent hot hatches, and are powered by a mid-mounted I-4. The design was created with rally racing in mind, and immediately proved itself by winning the Monte Carlo Rally in it’s first-ever race in 1981(with the original Turbo 1 variant).

An extremely rare Fiat 8V Ghia Supersonic on display along with a rebuilt engine at Saratoga Auto Museum’s Forza Italia! exhibit. The engine is a 2.0 liter V-8 with twin Weber carbs mated to a 4-speed transmission, a combination which proved successful in racing. Of the 114 Bv’s built, only 15 of them were Supersonics like this example.

A 1960 Ford Thunderbird at the 2010 Rotterdam Elks car show. This was the first year for the Thunderbird to be a 4-seater, a move which was seen by some as controversial. Originally the T-bird was designed as a pure sports car to directly compete with the Corvette, but within a few years became more of a luxury car then a performance car.

Japanese carmaker Toyota has launched the petrol variant of its much anticipated small car Toyota Etios Liva in India, priced between Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh.

Toyota Etios Liva's The J variant is priced at Rs 3.99 lakhs and the G variant is priced at Rs 4.59 lakhs. This will make the 1.2-litre car from the world's top carmaker competitive, the fastest-growing segment in the 2.5-million Indian passenger car market, and force rivals to consider price cuts.

Toyota Etios Liva Hatchback India Launch: "With Liva we will now be a complete manufacturer in India, offering a full range of products including the luxury SUV Prado... Liva is a very useful stylish and dynamic car," Toyota Kirloskar Motor Managing Director Hiroshi Nakagawa said"We will increase the production of the second plant from 70,000 units to 1,20,000 units to shorten the waiting period for Etios and meet future demand of Liva," Nakagawa said .

Toyota Liva is a five seater with wide dashing board. It looks astounding with twin tone color. It has several common interior features like Steering mounted audio controls, Rear wiper/washer, AC, power windows, power steering with adjustment; remote central locking and Dash integrated music system.  It will give sufficient space for all passengers. Head and leg room is good.  It disappoints you when it comes to luggage part where you need to compromise on it. It gives only little amount of space to carry your luggage. Other than this everything is extraordinary.

The Porsche 968 was developed as an entry-level car to replace the 944, and was produced for just a few years(1992-1995). A noticeable difference between this and the 944 it replaced is the lack of flip-up headlights. The year after this went out of production, the Boxster took over as the entry-level Porsche and remains in production to this day.

 four-wheelers-have-a-GPS-tracker.

I hope this move will be welcomed by all vechical owners :)

As thefts go up, RR wants a GPS tracker in every car

Over 5,000 vehicles are stolen in Mumbai every year and less than 600 recovered. The Home Minister has now told the transport  department not to issue fresh registrations to vehicles without the device

With car thefts on the rise and recovery statistics falling alarmingly, the government is on the verge of making GPS trackers mandatory in all four-wheelers registered in the state.

Home Minister RR Patil, after reviewing motor-vehicle theft numbers (on an average 2,000 are stolen in Mumbai each year and only 600 found), has asked the Transport Authority to not issue registration papers for all new cars not fitted with a global positioning system. He has asked for rules to be framed in this regard, and for them to be implemented at the earliest.

A GPS tracker, not to be confused with a GPS navigator installed for the drivers’ convenience, costs approximately Rs 4,000. It maps the latitude and longitude of the vehicle at all times, and relays that information to owners on their mobile phones via sms.

Car theft statistics reveal that some luxury four-wheelers, such as the Scorpio and the Pajero, are the favourites of thieves, who sell them with forged documents in some states in northIndia.

“We’ve been demanding that the five BMC octroi posts in Mumbai be equipped with CCTV cameras so that any vehicle being moved out could be captured on CCTV along with its driver. But the response from BMC has been lukewarm. Hence we want car owners to take initiative and install GPS,” said an officer from the Traffic police, who asked not to be named.

working-of-a-car-GPS-tracker
Police sources said car thieves had been improvising their modus operandi and skills, making it difficult to trace stolen vehicles. “There are multiple gangs involved nowadays in the process. So even if we catch one, the remaining leads cannot be traced,” he added.

Mumbai Police had written to prominent car manufacturers last year, asking them to take certain precautions regarding the lock and keys of cars. But the car manufacturers did not revert back to them.

Cops said another problem was lack of support from insurance companies, which paid the owners in cases of theft and did not bother to pursue tracing the stolen car.

Two months ago, approximate 250 cars from across Maharashtra were recovered in Rajasthan, but only a handful were claimed by insurance firms.

Apart from cars, 3,000 two-wheelers are stolen in the city each year, and only 1,000 are found.
Transport Commissioner Dilip Jadhav, in a high-level meeting with the Chief Minister all evening, was unavailable for comment.

 How GPS tracker works

• The device captures the GPS location information apart from other vehicle information at regular intervals to a central server.

• If the vehicle is stolen, you and cops can locate your car from any computer with an Internet connection.

• You can even immobilise your car sitting on a computer from anywhere in the World.

• The other vehicle information of a GPS device include fuel amount, engine temperature, altitude, door open/close, tire pressure, cut off fuel, battery status, and a lot more
