Tata Motors | Tata Indica eV2 Review | TATA Indica eV2 Price in India
0 comments Posted by smash at 12:16 AMLets find out what this 'e' stands for. The eV2 is no different from the other Indica which we see on the road.. But the new decals on the doors and the CR4 badging on the side gives you the hint that there is something new about this car. The exterior and interior are nothing new ; however the new decals on the doors and the new wood trim on the center console and the new seat covers has given the Indica eV2 a new interior look.
The USP of the eV2 is the the Fuel efficiency. - havent you seen the "India's most fuel effecient car" ad campaigns? According to Tata Motors and ARAI the new Tata Indica eV2 is capable of delivering 25kmpl . This may sound too much for the real world, but on testing the car gave the mileage of 23kml on highway and 17kmpl during the city Run.
The Indica has been around for over a decade but one thing you can't find fault her on is space. This is still one of the most spacious hatch-backs in India. and that's why is continues to be popular in the taxi market.
Even this new Indica eV2 has flaws like; the ride is unsettled and lacks the compliance we're used to these days, the handling is far from composed lacking in precision and handing out heaps of body roll, the steering is completely vague and lifeless and the ergonomics aren't good.
Overall, the Indica is still the car for the masses and eV2 is no exception. Its inexpensive to buy and maintain, and its equiped with all basic requiremnet that a consumer would demand from a car. But the Indica still makes a case for itself with its pricing. The top-of-the line LX costs Rs. 4.75 lakh ( ex-showroom, Mumbai) and when you take into account the features list- power steering, front power windows, split rear seat, 14 inch alloy wheels, leather gear shift knob, front and rear fog lamps and a stereo with AUX, USB and even blue tooth support- this is great value. The basic L variant at Rs.4 lakh is the cheapest diesel car in India.

They Might have made an entry into Indian Automobile industry through their Joint Venture with Mahindra, but Renault is now ready to launch their first independent offering in the Indian Market. Renault Fluence Luxury Sedan will be launched with 1.6 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engine options. To be placed in direct competition to the likes of Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Altis.
The Renault Fluence is expected to be priced between 11-14 lakhs. The Car would be assembled in Nissan Renault Chennai facility. To keep the price of the car low, the company has planned to localized the engine and some other parts too. Just like their last offering Logan. Renault promises good fuel economy with the Fluence as well. Renault Fluence Launch in India is in May 2011.

Pros:
- Wide Range of Engine
- Loaded with Features
- Improved Quality
Cons:
- Lackluster drive
- Low rear seat
The New Hyundai Fluidic Verna doesn't have wooden finish dashboard. The steering is nice to hold, the cubbyholes are big enough. Plenty og leg-room but the rear seats are too low.
The 1.6 litre petrol motor acquits itself well too. It is smooth and quite enough when doodling around the town and you will find no cause for complain.
This new Fluidic Verna is has a starting price of Rs.8.09 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
Cars under four meters and with engine capacities of less than 1.2 and 1.5 litres for petrol and diesel respectively qualify as a 'small car ' and hence attract only 10 percent excise duty as opposed to 22 percent for bigger cars.
These excise sops translate into huge saving and hence are a big incentive to trim a car's length .
It was Tata motors who started the trend for sub-four-meter saloons, with the Indigo CS. The price advantage is gleaned as a result made it a runway success. Cheaper, more practical and with all the important three box profile Indigo CS became one of the largest selling saloons in India.
New Swift Dzire is based on the considerably longer new Swift that stretches the tape all the way to 3850mm. That means it has to have an absurdly short boot. The current Dzire is 4160mm long and the new one has to be 160mm shorter at the least. But the stubby shape apart, the boot looks more cohesive this time around and the SX4- style tail light works quite well. The new Dzire has a new rear door and a longer roof. You can expect plenty of chrome around the grille and fog lamps , a bar of chrome on the rear of the car, and a set of attractive looking wheels as well. Maruti has to lift the perceived value of the car and adding chrome has proved to be a cost effective and reliable way of doing this.
This new small Swift Dzire will have more comfortable rear seat, one that is reclined slightly more, with a central armrest and probably marginally more legroom as a result of the new rear seat.
What's sure is that Maruti will give this new Dzire a killer price. That's the whole objective behind drastically shortening the car. I expect the new Dzire to be around Rs.30,000 cheaper than the existing Swift Dzire, even if Maruti keeps some of the savings from the lower rate of excise for itself. That could translate to an amazingly low starting price of Rs.4.60 lakh( ex-showroom Delhi)

Until now, the Logan is being sold with the Renault lozenge sitting pretty on its nose. Mahindra will change all of that when the Verito goes on sale later this month as it will be devoid of all Renault branding. Without making extensive changes, steps have been taken to improve the image and appeal of the Verito. It is expected to feature sporty side cladding and re-styled rear view mirrors. While an under -four meter variant is in the works, the Verito will make its debut with no significant mechanical or structural changes. So, the full, generous boot will remain intact. The pricing is not expected to change significantly though M&M is working to increase localization and reduce costs. The sub-four-meter variant is expected later this year.

Good Ol' USA rejoiced when the announcement of Osama Bin Laden's death was sourced by the US Government. All of this doesnt make sense at all. HOW STUPID IS THE GENERAL PUBLIC OF THE UNITED STATES? Do people just believe the sources or claims that the media covers. Do people even question the source? Of course not so now in a John Cena fashion Osama Bin Laden was killed by Navi Seals. Why is this death bullshit? For starters when was America ever ethical about killing people against democracy and getting in the way of natural resources from America? Why wasen't Sadam given the same burial as Osama. I smell a ton of bullshit and if you believe this shit or celebrate this day I suggest your living in the fucking matrix.
"Horray for America feeding us bullshit and not questioning anything"
"Wait a minute this isint a hella flush meet..."
